A FORAY INTO FILM

Over Spring Break, the fabulous Sabina Raja started to teach me how to shoot in film. Needless to say, my photography skills are way rusty. The thing I love about film is how quickly you learn to improve your technique. You're more cautious with film, because unlike with a digital camera, you can't just take a zillion shots and end up with 2 spectacular ones. You either get a good shot or not. And film costs money. And you just don't WANT to mess up, so you take more care with composition, lighting, editing and so on, before you're even confident enough to take the picture.
